Big panels are their own craft
A tailgate is not a car door.
A big panel is not just a bigger version of a small one, and treating it that way is how a repair comes back looking wrong. Around here that comes up a lot.
- A tailgate is double walled, so getting a tool behind a dent takes a different approach than a car door.
- Bed sides are long, flat and gently crowned, which is unforgiving. Any high spot shows up in the reflection from across a lot.
- Hoods and cab roofs bake in the sun, so an older truck's paint has moved and cannot be matched off the door jamb code.
- Flares, running boards, tonneau covers and bed liners come off and go back on without broken clips.
- Work trucks earn their keep. Tell us the days you cannot lose it and we will schedule around them.

Hail rarely cracks paint. It leaves shallow dents across the horizontal panels, which is exactly the damage paintless dent repair was designed for. Trucks and SUVs take the worst of it, since a full size hood and a cab roof are big flat targets pointed straight up.
We work each dent from behind the panel until the surface reads flat under a light board. The original factory finish stays on the vehicle, the repair costs a fraction of refinishing, and we take the insurance claim directly so you are not relaying messages between the shop and an adjuster.

Can you work on trucks and larger SUVs?
Yes. Full size hoods, double walled tailgates, long bed sides and lifted rigs are all routine work here. Cars and crossovers get the same shop, the same technicians and the same standards.
Why does hail hit trucks and SUVs harder than cars?
Surface area and angle. A full size hood, a cab roof and an open bed are large flat planes facing straight up, so they catch far more direct impacts than the sloped panels on a sedan. Dent counts on a crew cab are often several times higher.
Can a dent in a tailgate or bed side be fixed without repainting?
Usually yes. A tailgate is double walled so access takes more work than a door, and a bed side can be tight behind the wheel arch, but both are routine paintless repairs for us. Where a panel genuinely cannot be reached from behind, we say so and quote conventional repair instead.
When is paintless dent removal a better option than traditional bodywork?
Paintless dent removal works when the paint is not cracked and the dent is accessible from behind the panel. It preserves your factory finish, costs less, and finishes faster than repainting. It also protects resale value by avoiding the paint mismatch buyers notice during an inspection.
How does hail damage get repaired without repainting the whole vehicle?
Most hail dents are shallow impacts that do not crack paint, which makes them ideal for paintless dent removal. Technicians access the dents from behind the panels and massage them out with specialized tools. Multiple dents across the roof, hood and trunk are addressed in one session without affecting the original finish.
